The Brief

To design a 27 hole private members golf course at Treviso, north of Venice for the Benetton family.

The project includes a limited number of high quality, low density residential units around the golf course, as well as a clubhouse with tennis and golf practice facilities.

The Course

The golf course is located on low lying, rocky terrain in the foothills of the Alps. Water features integrate with the numerous streams that flow through the site to create an attractive and challenging golf course. To retain the traditional character of the region stone retaining walls were incorporated along with the preservation of numerous trees.

Status

• The course opened for play in 1997.
